Yes, I’m guessing everyone has seen it months ago, but I live in Australia and don’t have the Disney Channel, so I only saw it on Free TV last night.
I thought it was really different to HSM. I mean, just the whole atmosphere of it all..I know it was summer vacation and stuff, but it just seemed really different. The songs weren’t as catchy, some were a bit off -tune if you really listen to it… and some are just a bit weird (like that Hawaii type song Humuhumunukunukuapua’a on the soundtrack.. sung by Sharpay & Ryan). The Zac solo with him running around on the grass was really random. I duno, it just seemed weird. I liked the first alot better because the story flows better, the songs don’t seem as random and the songs are really catchy and cool =)
I have been looking around Y!a, it seems everyone likes HSM2 better…
I also think the 2nd movie focuses heaps more on Sharpay and less on Gabriella.
I really loved the song ‘Gotta Go My Own Way’. It was the best part, I think.
i def. like HSM2 better. it just felt more grown up than HSM.
I think both movies are a nice and positive influence on kids. However, they played that song from the second movie to much.
The second was alright. Don’t get me wrong It was good and I enjoyed it. BUT i have to say the first high school musical was the best.
I agree with you. I did like HSM2, but only after I saw it the 3rd time. I kinda liked how random it was though. Probably because it was just funny. Flow-wise, not a good movie, but if you like stupidly funny things, perfect movie!
I definitely agree! Gotta Go My Own Way was my favorite too! And I also liked Every Day. Humahuma is very odd, but it’s funny.
And yeah, they did put a lot more focus on Ryan and Sharpay more than Gabriella and Troy. But it worked, because most of my friends liked this one better. I can’t wait for HSM3!!!
i thought it was horrible. so was the first one. those ppl can’t act, sing, or dance, w/ the exception of zac efron
i was super excited for HSM2 but then when i saw it i was like ohh crap this *****.i personally thought HSM1 was better because it was better but the 2nd one was sucky.Zack did not look good in it and it was just a weird movie.

In the sense of the story/plot/flow, HSM was WAY better.
Song wise, HSM2 was better.

I liked 1 a lot better (minus that *** Gabriella song. Gabriella can’t sing worth crap. Plus she was totally lip synching) but HSM2 had good moments, too. I guess it just depends on taste =)
i think HSM 2 was wayyy better than the first one…….the songs, the scene,the character (like where Lucas became good that was so nice)……….xD

Omg i luved it mainly because Zac Efron looked so **** in this movie than the other movie i luved it when he winked at Gabreilla M.while she was in the pool i swear thats like his signature **** move.
