cunry1 asked:
i have a 75 gallon tank that is over stocked.
i have:
yellow tail damsel
blue damsel
lawnmower blennie
midas blennie
3 firefish
1 purple firefish
bursa triggerfish
i want to get rid of the damsels and probably 2 firefish, how do i go about catching em?
and if anyone wants em and you live near the chicago area they’re yours

It may be a little heavy, but I think it isn’t too bad, especially when you get rid of those fish.
About catching them, good luck LOL. I am have little saltwater knowledge, but in my freshwater tank I have alot of rocks for my African cichlids, and catching a holding female can take upon hours to do, which in turn causes a crap load of stress to the fish. In turn, what you should do to minimize this is remove most of the rock and deco and catch the fish quick, and place the rock back minimizing stress levels. You can also put is some stress coating into the water.
Thats not to bad for a 75 gallon. I have had great luck with putting some food in a net and setting it in the tank. Damsels are pretty bold and will go for it. When they do you can net them pretty easily. Just move the net some when the fish you don’t want to catch come up to it. It may take a bit but you can catch them.
im sure there is a damn thing u COULD do about it but w/e no help to my question and with ur question i have no clue so yeah…bye,,,,
This setup seems alright, but I would get rid of the damsels because they’re very aggressive. Here’s a couple links on making fish traps which work great! Also, a link for buying one.
